Isn’t this a great thing altogether. Now what happens is this, some of the elderly or should I say Senior Citizens from Cabra West are taken away for a weeks holiday to Kerdiffstown House, near Naas. Some years ago I knew an elderly neighbour who went on one of these little holidays and I went to visit her during the week. Well now, believe it or not she was like meself as a young lad when I was away in the Sunshine Home in Balbriggan, she was in great form and loving all that was going on. You see she was a bit of a dancer in her day and there was dancing arranged for that week she was in Kerdiffstown House and of course she didn’t want to go at first in case she missed her Bingo. Well she got to play Bingo there as well and go out on a trip for the day. To be honest with you, she didn’t know herself because she was spoiled by all of the staff and the helpers there. So well done to all involved in organising and running this excellent event for our very own…
